NJ Reviewing Whether To Revoke Trump Golf Club Liquor Licenses
New Jersey officials are reviewing whether Donald Trump can keep liquor licenses at three of his golf courses following his hush-money conviction across the Hudson, a spokesperson for the Garden State's top cop confirmed on Tuesday. The New Jersey Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control is "reviewing the impact of President Trump’s conviction" in New York State on the licenses and "declines further comment at this time,” the office of Attorney General Matthew Platkin said in a brief June 11 statement. Mother's Ale House in Wayne has hit the real estate market. The Route 23 Mountainview Boulevard building spans 11,695 square square feet, according to the listing by New Vistas Corp. The sale comes with a liquor license, parking lot with 76 spaces, and a finished basement to be used as a banquet room. The restaurant closed two months ago. Iconic Italian Elizabeth Restaurant Spirito's For Sale
Spirito's in Elizabeth is on the market. The old-school Italian restaurant dates back to the Great Depression, and has earned a reputation as one of the most beloved Italian eateries in the state. The listings started popping up earlier this week. The restaurant, building and land are for sale -- along with the liquor license and second- and- third-floor apartments. Newark Man Again Charged With Selling Alcohol Illegally
The operator of a restaurant in Newark's Ironbound has been charged with illegally selling alcohol, police said. Silvestre B. Penas, 61, was charged following complaints about Caldas restaurant at 293 Wilson Ave. Investigating officers from the environmental - vice task force saw beer, wine and other alcohol inside the business. A worker directed police to the owner, Penas, who did not have a state liquor license, police said. Officers seized the alcohol and about $150 in proceeds from sales.
