Body Found On 440 ID'd As Missing Woman
The body found on Route 440 on the Jersey City-Bayonne border on Wednesday, May 17, has been identified as Norelis Mendoza, who has been missing last week, authorities announced. Mendoza, a 32-year-old Lindenwold mom, had been last seen in Jersey City on Saturday, May 13,Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Pedestrian Critically Injured In JC Hit-And-Run Crash: Police
A 35-year-old Jersey City resident was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash at midnight on Monday, May 15, authorities said. Jersey City police responded to Newark Avenue and Coles St and found the man with serious injuries, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. A 23-year-old North Carolina man was killed in a Jersey City shooting. Khalil King, of Fayetteville, was found inside a business at 152 Danforth Ave., with a gunshot wound around midnight Sunday, April 23, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. A pair of men charged in the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old Jersey City girl were sentenced to state prison on Friday Jan. 27, authorities said.
