Bergen County Man Killed In Mountain Bike Accident At NY State Park
A 71-year-old Bergen County man was killed in a mountain bike accident at a state park in the Hudson Valley.
Alido M. Pavan, of Tenafly, was riding his mountain bike at Tallman State Park when he lost control of his bike, causing him to hit the ground striking his head around 3:15 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel said.
Pavan was wearing biking shoes and was clipped to the bike; he was also wearing a helmet, Nevel said.

North Jersey residents can keep the salt and snow shovels stashed awhile, a local weather expert said.
“I’m not overly impressed with the idea of a change from rain to snow” in and around the area this weekend, meteorologist Joe Cioffi said Thursday.
There’s no question, Cioffi said, that rain will plague the Friday morning commute – beginning what will be a dreary day.
