Three Elizabeth men have been charged with a homicide that occurred in the city on New Year's Day 2023.
On the early morning hours of the New Year, Elizabeth police responded to 4th Street and found Vladmir Martinez suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene, Union County Prosecutor William Daniel, Elizabeth Police Director Earl Graves, and Elizabeth Police Chief Giacomo Sacca said.

A West Virginia man has been charged with human trafficking after he picked up a 14-year-old North Jersey girl he had promised a relationship with, drove to Maryland to sexually assault her, and abandoned her in Pennsylvania when he learned that she had been reported missing, authorities announced.

A pair of Brooklyn men were arrested during a traffic stop in Hudson County for several gunpoint robberies on Long Island, authorities said.

Several bags of cocaine, heroin and more than $9,700 in cash were seized in the arrest of three Hudson County individuals for their alleged roles in a drug distribution scheme, authorities said.
Hector Reveron, 41, of Secaucus, in May was identified by the local police department's anti-crime unit as a known drug dealer to Hoboken residents, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said.

A Jersey City man being held in the Hudson County Jail on drug offenses was charged in the fatal shooting of a fellow resident, while a woman was accused of hindering the homicide investigation, authorities said.
Police responding to a report of shots fired on Fulton Avenue found Jason Dunbar, 35, unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds around 11:45 p.m. Aug. 27, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced.
