Man Purposely Hit Goose With E-Bike, Hoboken Police Say
A 30-year-old Hoboken man was arrested and charged on Wednesday, Sept. 11 after he intentionally hit a goose with an e-bike, authorities said.
At 5:35 p.m., officers responded to Pier A park on reports that a person hit a goose on purpose with a bike, Hoboken police said. Police found Andrew Mullin, who fit the description of the individual, and arrested him, officers said.
Mullin was charged with cruelty to animals and issued summons for riding an e-bike on a walkway, police said. He was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, police said.
Robbers Attempted To Break Into Vehicles, Steal Vespa: Hoboken PD
Three people attempted to break into a garage and later steal a Vespa in Hoboken on Thursday, July 11, authorities said.
At 9:40 p.m., three people were seen entering a garage on mini-motorcycles, attempting to open the doors of multiple vehicles, a spokeswoman for the Hoboken police said. They were unsuccessful and left, the spokeswoman said.
Later that evening, the three suspects attempted to steal a Vespa near the 15th Street and Adams Street but the owner of the vehicle stopped them, authorities said. The Vespa sustained $2,000 in damages, authorities said.

Hoboken DJ Lee Montalvo Dies Unexpectedly, 50
Lee Montalvo, a lifelong resident of Hoboken, died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 11 surrounded by his family, according to his obituary on the Lawton-Turso Funeral Home website says.
Montalvo worked in finance before becoming a bartender at Wilton House in Hoboken, his obituary says. He enjoyed talking music and sports, especially about the Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh Penguins and his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers, according to his obituary.
