The driver of a 1965 Porsche and a minivan that collided in Ridgewood were both hospitalized with injuries that responders said they didn't consider life-threatening. Three Captured After Stolen SUV Rams Vehicles In Paramus Pursuit
BREAKING: Three suspects in a stolen SUV rammed multiple vehicles, including a Paramus police car, before officers from neighboring departments helped nab them as they fled, responders said. A female occupant of one of the civilian vehicles had to be hospitalized in the wake of the pursuit and crashes early Monday evening, all of which happened in a matter of minutes. An accused car burglar who police said was drunk while prowling Bergen County streets in a vehicle stolen from a driving school near his Queens home was released by a judge shortly after his arrest. Spanky Gus Davido, 25, had sped off after Ridgewood police caught him trying to break into a car on Gilbert Street on Wednesday, Feb. 9, Detective Capt. Forest Lyons said. A would-be car thief behind the wheel of a sedan stolen from a driving school in Queens was casing neighborhoods in Ridgewood for targets when he was spotted early Wednesday, Feb. 9, authorities said. Car Rolls, Topples Utility Pole On Route 17
A car careened off Route 17, rolled and toppled a utility pole Monday night. No serious injuries were reported in the crash on the southbound highway near Franklin Turnpike in Ridgewood around 7:30 p.m. Ridgewood firefighters freed an occupant from the vehicle, which landed on its side on the shoulder. Police were trying to find whoever abandoned a live goat in a Ridgewood cemetery. An animal control officer, with help from police and employees corraled the goat, who'd been left in a box Friday morning at the Valleau Cemetery on Franklin Turnpike.
