A 35-year-old Johnstown man who was shot and killed during a 100 mph chase on US 22 in Pennsylvania had a lengthy criminal record including getting caught while hiding out in New Jersey, authorities say. Krysten Harland Pretlor, had been living in Johnstown, Pennsylvania prior to the deadly shooting on Thursday, Nov. 3. 400+ Health Products Recalled From Family Dollar Over Improper Storage
More than 400 over-the-counter health products such as toothpaste, deodorant and pain relievers have been recalled from Family Dollar stores over improper storage, the FDA announced. The products were stored and inadvertently shipped to certain stores on or around May 1 through June 10, and stored outside of labeled temperature requirements, federal officials said. Closter PD: Teaneck Car Thief Caught After Crashing, Running
Closter police nabbed a Pennsylvania man after he crashed a car stolen out of Teaneck and then bailed out, authorities said. Township police reported the 2001 Honda Civic stolen from outside the Family Dollar store on Teaneck Road around 3 p.m. Tuesday, Deputy Police Chief John A. Faggello said. The owner had left keys and a cellphone inside it, Faggello said. Authorities in Newark are seeking the public's help identifying a man who they say aimed a gun at a worker at Family Dollar on Thursday night. A man pointed a handgun at a worker at Family Dollar Store on the 800 block of North 6th Street around 6:40 p.m., Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said in a release. Authorities: Broken Bottle Was Newark Man's Weapon Of Choice In Family Dollar Robbery
A Newark man who was armed with broken bottle while demanding cash from a Family Dollar was arrested Friday, said authorities who charged him. Francisco Maldonado-Jones, 31, walked into the 7th Avenue store around demanded the money, then fled on around 7:40 p.m. July 8, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said in a release. Maldonado-Jones was identified via a follow-up investigation and arrested Friday morning, authorities said. He was charged with robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
