: Bergen Sheriff's Officer Revives OD Victim At Hackensack Wawa
A Bergen County sheriff's officer revived a drug overdose victim from Englewood at a Hackensack convenience store. Officer John Ryan Greiner administered Narcan to the unconscious 41-year-old opioid victim at the Wawa on River Street shortly after 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Bergen County Sheriff Anthony Cureton said. The man eventually came around and was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center, the sheriff said.

A Jersey City laborer working a Glen Rock home renovation was arrested by police who said they found him carrying 40 heroin folds, crack and more after he abandoned an overdosing co-worker. Two Dead, One Hospitalized In Triple OD At Route 17 Hotel
Two drug users died and another was hospitalized after overdosing before dawn Wednesday in a Route 17 hotel, authorities confirmed. The bodies of two women -- one 36, the other 37 -- were found at the Extended Stay America Hotel on the northbound highway in Ramsey around 3 a.m. Wednesday, responders said. The husband of one of them was hospitalized after being revived with Narcan, they said. At least two of them apparently had been staying at the hotel for some time. A fiery Route 4 rollover crash that seriously injured a 91-year-old Maywood woman, among others, was caused by a 22-year-old Ridgewood driver who overdosed on heroin, authorities said. Man Who Sold Fentanyl, Heroin That Killed Ocean County User Gets 7 Years In Prison
A Lacey Township resident who sold a mix of heroin and fentanyl that killed a 25-year-old Berkeley man last spring must spend nearly six years in state prison before he’s eligible for parole. Charles Rice, 58, was sentenced Friday in Toms River to a plea-bargained seven years behind bars, 85 percent of which he must serve under New Jersey’s No Early Release Act, for manslaughter, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. An SUV driven by a motorist who responders said was overdosing on drugs crashed and caught fire Friday morning in Hawthorne, spreading flames to a nearby house. A Paramus man and his live-in girlfriend were found dead of apparent drug overdoses at his parents' home over the weekend, authorities said. Fairfield police dispatched all available units Saturday, when a Franklin man struck multiple vehicles as he was traveling on I-80, Chief Anthony Manna said in a statement.
