DWI Sussex County Driver Again Karate Kicks Officers, EMT After Car Rolls In Ditch, Police Say
A Sussex County woman who once "karate kicked" a police officer was arrested for doing the same thing again to a pair of officers and an EMT Monday, authorities said. Officers responding to reports of a vehicle driving erratically with two flat tires on County Route 631found Sheila A. Celentano, 44, who had abandoned her vehicle and was running down Newton Street barefoot, Franklin Borough police said. Celentano -- who had been drinking and was found with an open container of alcohol -- let her car roll into a ditch as she yelled profanities at police and resisted arrest, authorities said. …

Hackettstown PD: DWI Sussex County Driver Charged In Route 46 Crash
A Sussex County driver had been drinking when he crashed into another vehicle while attempting a left-hand turn in Hackettstown, said authorities who charged him. Scott Caruso, 56 of Sparta, was turning left from Center Street onto Route 46 when he struck a 30-year-old Morris County man headed eastbound in a Toyota around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Hackettstown police said. Police smelled alcohol while talking to Caruso, who was subsequently arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and careless driving. He was released pending a court appearance. No injuries were reported.

Byram Police: Speeding, DWI Driver Tried Resisting Arrest
A speeding driver was drunk when police stopped her in Byram Township, authorities said. Lauren Ell, who initially refused to identify herself to police, was behind the wheel and showing signs of intoxication after police stopped her on Route 206, last Friday authorities said. She subsequently failed a series of field sobriety tests and resisted arrest but was eventually taken into custody. A Sparta woman accused of drunkenly pinning a man against a guardrail with her car in 2012 was arrested once again for drunk driving, authorities said. Charlene Myers, 48, admitted to police she had two beers before driving her red Jeep up a curb and into the grass near the Blue Heron Park and Ride around 11:40 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, local police said. Police: Speeding DWI Driver Found With THC Pen In Sussex County
A speeding driver found with a THC vape pen was drunk when police stopped him in Byram Township, authorities said. Local police noticed signs of intoxication from the driver, Kristopher Fanelli, after stopping him last Friday on Waterloo Road, a press release says.
