The PA man who was pulled from the Delaware River in Hunterdon County was a soon-to-be father of a baby boy, according to a fundraiser created in his honor.
Jorge Herrera-Salmoran, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene after being pulled from the water near the Bull’s Island Recreation Area (2185 Daniel Bray Highway) in Delaware Township shortly before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, state police said.

Authorities: Pompton Lakes HS Teacher From PA Found Dead At School Of Suicide
A teacher from Pennsylvania who was found dead at Pompton Lakes High School had apparently killed himself, authorities said Saturday.
Although an autopsy was to determine the official cause, the death of Patrick Moccia, 47, of Doylestown, PA, was “believed to be the result of an apparent suicide,” Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Pompton Lakes Police Chief Derek Clark said in a joint announcement.
Police found the body of Moccia, who taught at the school, shortly after 9 p.m. Friday following a search on a welfare check, they said.

Filip Babiuk, 25, Of Linden, Business Owner Who Was Recently Engaged
Filip Babiuk, A Clark resident who spent much of his life in Linden, died suddenly Sunday. He was 25.
Born in Poland, Filip moved to Linden in 2005 before moving to Clark less than a year ago, where he owned and operated Stealth Pool Installations.
Filip enjoyed swimming, sailing, skiing and dancing, and worked as a lifeguard in Avenel in high school. He was a volunteer for many years during the pilgrimage to Our Lady of Czestochowa Shrine in Doylestown, Pennsylvania and also volunteered with the Polish American festival.
