A 43-year-old socialite who was raised in New Jersey is facing charges on Long Island after police said she "menaced" her former housekeeper with a knife and a mop handle and broke the former employee's cell phone, according to authorities and a report by the New York Post. A vandal who was chased down by Port Authority police at the George Washington Bridge bus station was carrying a loaded gun, authorities said. Justice D. Velez, 20, of the Bronx was vandalizing a card payment machine when he saw the officers coming and took off, said Lenis Valens, a Port Authority spokeswoman. A heated dispute with his landlord escalated when a Ridgefield tenant reached for a responding police officer's gun, authorities said.
