A motorist who followed a Hillsdale girl home, pulled into her driveway and walked to her side door took off after being confronted by the youngster’s mother, said police who sought the public’s help finding him. The girl was walking her dog around 9 p.m. Tuesday when, she said, the dark-colored, older-model four-door sedan stopped near the intersection of Hopkins Street and Stever Avenue. Ho-Ho-Kus police sought the public's help finding the hit-and-run driver whose sedan struck and severely injured a borough woman as she walked her dog near the Ridgewood border Tuesday night. The 57-year-old pedestrian was in a marked crosswalk on North Maple Avenue at 1st Street when she was struck around 7 p.m. by a red sedan that then kept going north on Maple, Ho-Ho-Kus Police Chief Christopher Minchin said. Woman, Teen Girl Approached In Pair Of 'Suspicious' Incidents: Montclair PD
A Glen Ridge woman and a 13-year-old girl both reported being approached by men in incidents that occurred within an hour of each other Thursday, police in Montclair said. The two complainants also described a similar vehicle involved in both incidents, police said. Around 3:15 p.m. a 13-year-old girl and a friend were walking near Cooper Avenue and Park Street when a dark brown or dark gray minivan pulled up.
