Victim In Tuesday's Fatal Newark Shooting Is South Orange Man, 22 The victim in the second deadly shooting to occur in Newark within 24 hours earlier this week has been identified as a 22-year-old South Orange man.  Sabor A. Townes was gunned down at 80 Clinton Place Tuesday night, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said, There did not appear to be a connection with the shooting the previous night that left 49-year-old Hassan Webb dead.  In both shootings there were multiple victims. 3 Shot, One Killed, In Second Straight Night Of Deadly Violence In Newark One person is dead and two others injured in a shooting in Newark Tuesday night, police said.  The victims, identified only as males, were shot on Clinton Place. One of the wounded was reportedly in critical condition, Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose said.  Ambrose referred additional inquiries to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.  The shooting comes on the heels of a pair of shootings Monday night that left one person dead and wounded four others . Those shootings occurred on South 8th Street and were also under investigation by the prosecutor's office.

Hillside, Newark Men Sentenced On Federal Drug And Weapons Charges Two men have been sentenced after they were seen selling drugs from a Newark street corner two years ago and found in possession of multiple weapons, the U.S. Attorney for New Jersey said.  Jesse Tullies, 54, of Hillside, received a sentence of nearly 20 years on drugs and weapons offenses.
