UPDATE: A 16-year-old boy stabbed a 14-year-old rival at the Willowbrook Mall during a weekend brawl between two groups from the City of Passaic, police said Monday. There had been an “ongoing issue between them that involved a previous fight in another location,” Wayne Police Detective Capt. Dan Daly said on March 6. The boy was found at the entrance to the food court with a stab wound in his thigh around 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 4, the captain said. A Jersey Shore man was arrested for setting off molotov cocktails in a local Route 35 parking lot three nights last week, authorities said. Brendan J. Dunne, 24, of Holmdel, set off a series of fires believe to have started in a glass bottle containing charred pieces of cardboard in the Route 45 Costco and Cinemark parking lot July 19, 21 and 22, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said. Movie Theaters In NJ Can Reopen This Week: Here Are The Rules
Movie theaters across New Jersey are able to reopen this week after more than five months of being closed due to COVID-19, state officials said. Gov. Phil Murphy on Monday said theaters can reopen with specific rules on Friday, the same day restaurants can resume indoor dining. Indoor theaters must cap attendance at the lesser of either 25 percent capacity or 150 movie-goers, and face masks must be worn at all times. Movie Theater Giants Sue NJ Over 'Unconstitutional' Coronavirus Closures
New Jersey is facing a lawsuit from three of the biggest movie theater companies in the U.S. over "unconstitutional" closures during the COVID-19 pandemic. AMC, Regal and Cinemark filed the suit against Gov. Phil Murphy and the state Monday, seeking a temporary restraining order from a federal judge that would allow theaters to reopen immediately, the New York Post reports.
