Teenager Arrested Trying To Steal Car From Ford Dealership: Secaucus PD
An 18-year-old from Pennsylvania was arrested for trying to steal a car from Meadowlands Ford on Monday, Aug. 28, authorities said. At 7:30 p.m., police responded to the dealership at 330 County Avenue and found Xazier Valle, who matched the description of the car thief, Chief Dennis Miller said. Police pursued Valle on foot after he tried to run from officers and were soon able to apprehend him and take him into custody, Miller said. Valle was charged with criminal attempt to commit theft and was issued a complaint summons, Miller said.

Secaucus Officers Revive Elderly Man
A Secaucus man is alive and well thanks to the quick thinking of three city policemen, officials say. Lt. Christopher Rinaldi was called to the corner of Seaview Drive and New County Road just before 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, for a reported medical emergency. There, he found an elderly man laying unresponsive on the ground and not breathing, the department said. Just as Rinaldi began performing CPR, officers Mikhail Kowlessar and Kasey Kelly arrived on the scene, officials wrote. A 25-year-old Newark man with prescription drugs on him led police on a reckless pursuit in a stolen SUV across Essex and Hudson counties this week, authorities said. Sahmir Hughes was behind the wheel of a 2020 Lexus RX stolen from a valet lot when Secaucus officers were called to Riverside Pediatrics around 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, Chief Dennis Miller said. : Secaucus Police Officers Revive Woman, 75
Three Secaucus police officers came to the rescue of a 75-year-old woman having breathing problems, now recovering well at the hospital. Officers responding to a 9-1-1 call found the woman lying down and turning blue at a home at the 600 block of 9th Street around 6 p.m. Nov. 1, Chief Dennis Miller said. First on scene was Officer David Delseni, who performed "rescue breaths" on the victim. Her conditioned worsened, though, and she soon became unresponsive. Authorities: 'Suspicious' Man Busted With Large Knife, Methamphetamine At Meadowlands Hotel
A 47-year-old Queens man was found with a knife and large quantity of methamphetamine at a hotel in Hudson County, authorities said Thursday. Secaucus police responded to the Red Roof Inn on reports of drug activity found Frank Morrow acting suspiciously around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, Chief Dennis Miller said. An inquiry turned up a large knife and more than an ounce of methamphetamine, Miller said.
