A 3-year-old boy died and his mother hospitalized following a pit bull attack in Central Jersey. Nearly $135,000 had been raised as of Friday evening by the father's employer, Coney Island Auto Parts, for the boy's funeral and related medical expenses. Aziz Ahmed and his mother were in their fenced backyard on East Laurel Street in Avenel, when a pair of unregistered dogs that reportedly belonged to a neighbor behind them got into their yard and attacked them both, authorities said. Two New Jersey women that federal authorities say drove together to Washington, D.C. on Jan. 6 and stormed the U.S. Capitol have been indicted on multiple federal crimes. Marissa A. Suarez and Patricia Todisco initially were arrested charged with two crimes in January: entering the Capitol building and disorderly conduct. Amazon plans to open another fulfillment center in Central Jersey at the site of a vacant Sears store. The approximately 93,000-square-foot Monmouth County location — at Seaview Square Shopping Center in Ocean Township — is expected to open in October, Mayor Chris Siciliano told NJ Advance Media. “It’s a win-win for us and for Amazon," Siciliano told NJ.com. While forecast maps show increased snow totals across the region, snowfall was expected to slow Thursday afternoon and turn to sleet then freezing rain. A pair of winter storms are threatening the Northeast with more snow this week. The first storm will impact some of North Jersey and the Lehigh Valley, and is expected Monday into Tuesday. A 33-year-old Brooklyn, NY man was jailed on accusations he lured and sexually assaulted a 13-year-old child in a Central Jersey motel last November, authorities said. Michael Torenheim was captured in Spring Valley, NY, by members of the U.S. Marshals Office, New Jersey State Police and Wall Township Police Department, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J.
