Nutley Hockey Player, 19, Dies In Fiery Route 80 Crash
A 19-year-old hockey player from Bergen County was killed after his car caught fire on Route 80 in Warren County on the evening of Sunday, Dec. 1, authorities said. At 8:21 p.m., a Hyundai SUV driven by Carmine Argenziano was traveling westbound on Route 80 in Hope Township when it veered off the right side of the roadway, hit multiple trees and then caught fire, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The mugshot of a Newark man who police say was intoxicated when he caused a Route 46 crash over the weekend that killed an area construction worker, and then lied to police about it, has been released. Jose M. DUI Driver Seriously Injures Family Thanksgiving Morning On Route 1, Prosecutor Says
A 31-year-old DUI driver is facing multiple charges in a crash that left a family and a teenager seriously injured in Edison, police said. Alyssa Figueredo, 31, of Cranford, drove through a red light around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 28 on Route 1 north at Parsonage Road in Edison, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Edison Police Chief Thomas Bryan said. Car Slams Into Tree in Bloomfield, Leaving Two In Critical Condition: Authorities
Two people are in critical condition after a car crashed into a tree in Bloomfield on the evening of Sunday, Nov. 17, authorities said. At 10 p.m., a 2024 silver Acura Integra struck the tree at John F. Kennedy Drive North and Spruce Street, a spokesperson for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said. The driver and the three passengers were transported to a nearby hospital, authorities said. At 2:02 p.m., a Chevrolet passenger vehicle, driven by Andrew Slagle, an Orange County resident from Westtown, was traveling northbound on Route 284 in Wantage Township when it veered off the roadway to the right, struck several trees and overturned, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. A 19-year-old Linden resident was killed in a crash in Roselle on Halloween night, authorities said. At 11:40 p.m., a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox traveling westbound, struck a curb, veered through a fence line and, continued through an open lot and came to rest in an adjoining Wawa parking lot, a spokesman for the Borough of Roselle said. Driver Injured After Vehicle Overturns: Fairfield PD
A driver was injured after the vehicle he was driving overturned on the afternoon of Sunday, Nov. 3 in Fairfield, authorities said. At 12:13 p.m., officers responded to a single car motor vehicle crash on Hollywood Avenue near Francaville Drive, Fairfield police said. The driver ran off the roadway and struck a roadway before the vehicle overturned, police said. The crash is currently under investigation, police said. Saul Clark, 55, of Paterson, New Jersey, had gotten out of his vehicle in the southbound lanes of I-87 in West Nyack when he was struck by the passing SUV driven by a Nyack woman just before 10 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel said. A 47-year-old North Plainfield man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Woodbridge on Saturday, Oct. 25 in which the driver had fled from, authorities said.
