$15,000 Worth Of Items Snatched While Homeowner Away: Montclair PD
A man who returned to Montclair after two weeks out of state was in for a rude awakening, authorities said.
On Monday, July 10, a man reported to police that when he returned to his home on Park Street, he discovered his home had been burglarized, with $15,000 worth of items taken, officers said.
The burglar entered the home by force through a basement bathroom window, police said. The burglar then proceeded to rummage through the home, and took jewelry, purses and gold coins, police said.

A pair of heartless thieves from Pennsylvania stole 19 catalytic converters from a lot off Route 17 packed with vehicles used to help seniors, the disabled and frail Bergen County residents get around, authorities said.
Detectives grabbed one of them – identified as Noe Gabriel Hernandez, 24, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.

Serial Car Burglar Busted In Bayonne: Police
A 55-year-old Bayonne man was arrested and charged with breaking into five vehicles in the city over the course of 10 days, authorities said.
Jose Quinones was taken into custody on Friday, June 9 on 25th Street and Avenue E for the burglaries committed between Thursday, May 25 and Sunday, June 4. Police had been attempting to locate him for five days.
On the afternoon of May 25, Quinones took items from a parked vehicle on West 23rd St, police said. On Monday, May 29, Quinones struck twice, breaking into vehicles on East and West 44th Street, police said.

Three Colombian nationals remain in federal custody and a fourth has already been deported after the government said they stole jewelry, a Rolex, an antique rifle, furs and cash in a home burglary in Union County.
