Police have released details and made an arrest in a nearly five-hour SWAT standoff involving a hostage Friday, Nov. 10 in Somerset County. Police received 9-1-1 calls saying a man later identified as Alonzo D. Blakey, 50, was holding a female relative against her will in his apartment on Columbia Drive in Finderne, around 7:20 a.m., Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald said. Police: Somerset Bus Driver, 76, Made Inappropriate Comments To Female Student, 13
A 76-year-old Somerset County Educational Services bus driver was charged with harassment after making inappropriate students to a 13-year-old female student, authorities said. The Bridgewater-Raritan student was the only passenger on the bus when Joseph Galietti made the comments, Bridgewater police said. Galietti was arrested around 2 p.m. on March 10, authorities said. "Galietti was interviewed by detectives and based upon statements and evidence, the charge of harassment was sustained," local police said. The investigation is ongoing.
