Man Stabbed Dead Outside Bar In Newark: Prosecutors A 26-year-old Newark man was fatally stabbed outside of a bar in Newark early Saturday morning, according to authorities and Daily Voice sources. According to sources, Ferando Michael Villa Valdivieso was standing outside El Refugio Bar on Bloomfield Avenue when a fight escalated and he was hit in the head. Valdivieso was then stabbed with a sharp object, sources said. He was found by police lying on the sidewalk at 3:20 a.m.,according to Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Man Dies In Fall From His Own Window New Year's Day In Newark A male fell to his death from a building in Newark on New Year's Day, according to authorities and RLS Media. The man was found unresponsive after jumping from a building on Rowland Street near Bloomfield Avenue around 7:05 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. According to RLS, the man had fallen from a third-floor window of his home. He had apparently moved to the area last spring. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Teen Struck By Car Seriously Injured In Newark A teenage boy was seriously injured after being struck by a car in Newark Monday night. The 13-year-old boy was hit at Bloomfield Avenue and North 9th Street around 9:30 p.m., City spokeswoman Catherine Adams said. The incident appeared to have happened outside of the Newark Schools Stadium. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and the driver remained at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
