Man Critical After Setting Himself On Fire In Atlantic City, Police Say A man who set himself on fire overnight in Atlantic City was in critical condition as of Saturday afternoon, authorities said. The 24-year-old Somers Point man was found with severe burns by police on the 2000 block of Atlantic Avenue around midnight, police said. An attendant from the gas station used a fire extinguisher to put the flames out. Atlantic City Councilman MD Hossain Morshed Hospitalized In Assault, Police Say Police are investigating the assault of an Atlantic City councilman. Fourth Ward Councilman MD Hossain Morshed, 47, was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries following the attack at the intersection of Florida and Atlantic avenues around 10:45 p.m. July 15, local police said.
