Man Found Fatally Shot In Newark: Prosecutors A 33-year-old Newark man was found fatally shot on the morning of Monday, May 15, according to authorities. Police responded to a report of a dead body on the 600 block of Frelinghuysen Avenue where they located Anthony Damico suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II and Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Stephens and Fragé said. The investigation is active and ongoing, Stephens and Fragé said.
