Jersey City Man Charged After Bayonne Police Shooting: Prosecutors A 35-year-old Jersey City man who was shot by Bayonne police on Thursday, July 13, was hit with numerous charges following the incident, prosecutors said. Kelvin Ortiz is currently in custody at Jersey City Medical Center following the shooting, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Bayonne police responded to a report of theft from a gas station on 53rd Street near Avenue E around 6:45 a.m. and found Ortiz in the parking lot of Burger King on Broadway and 54th, Suarez said. Jersey City Man, 49, Charged In Violent Robbery Of Elderly Bayonne Woman A 49-year-old Jersey City man has been charged in the violent robbery of a 73-year-old Bayonne woman, authorities said Wednesday. Bayonne police detectives spotted a man riding a bicycle, who matched the victim's description on 41st Street and Kennedy Boulevard Dec. 1, Police Capt. Eric Amato said. Rodney M.
