A 62-year-old retired Army staff sergeant from New Jersey was shot and killed in Florida following a dispute over a parking space on Tuesday, June 30, authorities said.
At 12:28 p.m., officers responded to a Walmart in North Lauderdale and found Bart Diguglielmo, a Hammonton native, suffering from a gunshot wound, Broward Sheriff's Office said. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

A Carteret school aide known for her laughter, generosity and devotion to her family has died at 55.
Ernestina Cruz died on Saturday, June 27, at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, according to her obituary on the Chubenko Funeral Home website.

DiRienzo joined Monmouth as a linebackers coach in February 2025 before being promoted to defensive coordinator in January.
