Motorcyclist Killed In Route 78 Dump Truck Crash:

A 59-year-old North Jersey motorcyclist was killed after crashing into the back of a dump truck on Route 78 Monday morning, Sept. 14, authorities said. Rosario Chiovaro, of Verona, was riding a Harley-Davidson east in the express lanes in Union Township when the motorcycle struck the rear of a Peterbilt dump truck around 8:37 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. The motorcycle overturned, and Chiovaro was ejected and killed, Lebron said. No other injuries were reported. The crash happened near milepost 52.9 and remains under investigation, Lebron said.
