Firefighters Extinguish 'Stubborn' Sussex County Blaze: Hampton Township FD
It took a couple hours but firefighters were able to extinguish a fire in Sussex County on the evening of Thursday, Dec. 26, authorities said. At 9:44 p.m., the Sussex County Sheriffs 911 Center alerted firefighters of a fire on West Lakeside Lane, Hampton Township Fire and Rescue said. First responders arrived on scene to find a chimney fire that had turned into a structure fire, firefighters said. One Killed In Sparta House Fire: Police
A person was killed in a house fire in Sparta on the morning of Thursday, Oct. 10, authorities said. First responders arrived at 132 Sawmill Road at 8:24 a.m. and found smoke billowing from the residence, Sparta police said. Upon arrival, they were informed a resident was still inside the home but officers were blocked from entering the home due to heavy smoke and fire, police said. Rochelle Park House Fire Quickly Knocked
Firefighters made quick work of a Rochelle Park house blaze. The fire broke out on the second floor of Parkway home off Rochelle Avenue shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday, June 16. Firefighters contained it there, knocking down the main body barely 20 minutes before they began.
