BMW Hits Bicyclist Off Route 3 In Rutherford, Police Say A bicyclist was hospitalized with a back and arm injury after being struck by a BMW on a Rutherford roadway off of Route 3 Tuesday evening, Oct. 8, police said. the 2015 BMW M23, operated by a 30-year-old North Arlington man, was on the Route 3 west ramp and entering Thomas E. Dunn Memorial Highway when he struck the 58-year-old Lyndhurst bicyclist, who was heading east on the Thomas E. Dunn Memorial Highway around 7 p.m., Rutherford Police Lt. Craig Capoano said.
