Woman Dies When SUV Crashes Into Tree In South Jersey, State Police Say A Fairfield Township woman died when her SUV crashed into a tree, authorities said. Elizabeth Greco, 61, died in the crash in Fairfield on Monday, Aug. 12, a state police spokesperson said. Troopers responded to the crash at milepost 0.45 on Fairton Millville Road at around 1:34 p.m. Investigators said Greco was driving west in a Kia Sorento when she lost control of the SUV. The Kia went off the road and struck a tree. Greco was pronounced dead from her injuries. The crash remained under investigation.

Trenton Police Officer, K-9 Injured When Unlicensed Driver Speeds Through Stop Sign: Mayor A Trenton police officer and K-9 were injured when an unlicensed driver sped through a stop sign, authorities said. The crash occurred Thursday morning, July 25 at the corner of Second and Bridge streets, according to Trenton Mayor Reed Gusciora The officer's vehicle was T-boned, sending both cars into a residential building, the mayor said. Both drivers were treated and released from an area hospital. The K-9 was treated for facial cuts. The crash occurred at about 12:45 p.m. on Friday, July 5 on the I-295 ramp from Exit 45 (Mount Holly Road/Rancocas Road) in Westampton Township, according to the NJDOT. Flaming Jackknife Tractor-Trailer On I-95 Near Betsy Ross Bridge (Video) A tractor-trailer fire shuttered part of Interstate 95 in Philadelphia for hours, Pennsylvania State Police explained on Friday morning.  The tractor-trailer was already ablaze when it jackknifed on I-95 South at mile marker 25.6 in Philadelphia County near the Betsy Ross Bridge into New Jersey around 7:30 a.m. on June 28, state police detailed in the release.  The fire has been extinguished and Troop K Philadelphia Station was on the scene as of 9 a.m. The driver was able to escape.  Click the player below to see a Citizen video of the firefighters on the scene.
