A 62-year-old Hunterdon County campaign manager was sentenced to two years of probation on Friday, Oct. 18 after pleading guilty to attempting to fraudulently place a candidate on the Democratic primary ballot in the New Jersey governor’s race in 2021, authorities said. A New Jersey State Police trooper from Gloucester County has admitted punching a woman in the face with a metal flashlight in his hand while the victim was handcuffed in the backseat of a patrol vehicle, authorities said.
