Bergen County Truck Driver Charged In Pedestrian's Fatal North Bergen Pin: Prosecutor A 24-year-old Fort Lee resident was arrested and charged after he fatally struck a pedestrian in North Bergen on Monday, Feb. 10 and fled the scene, authorities said. Around 6 a.m., police responded to a pedestrian struck at Tonnelle Avenue and 91st Street and found Nestor Naira-Ojeda, a 52-year-old North Bergen resident, who was pronounced dead at the scene after he was pinned against a guardrail, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez and authorities said. SantaCon Shenanigans: 8 Arrested In Hoboken As Police Handle Fights, Crashes, Chaos Some people attending SantaCon 2024 in Hoboken, including several from out of state, couldn't help but end up on the naughty list. Hoboken police said eight people were arrested at the annual event on Saturday, Dec. 21, where people dress up as Santa Claus for a bar crawl, a spinoff of the popular event held every year in New York City (scroll down for details).  Overall, police issued 16 traffic summonses, dealt with 13 fights, and responded to three motor vehicle crashes, police said. Crash Delays Route 3 In Clifton Delays were being reported along Route 3 where a motor vehicle crash was reported Monday afternoon, July 1. It happened in the westbound lanes, west of Route 21 just before 1 p.m. As of 1:10 p.m., one left lane was closed with emergency response vehicles at the scene.
