The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has revealed plans to upgrade the airport with hopes of transforming it into a "world-class getaway" with modernized terminals.  It's called the EWR Development Plan, and it calls for a complete upgrade of Terminal B to match the newly renovated Terminal A, an overhaul of the outdated roadway network, and a redesign of the delay-prone aircraft taxiway network. Nearly $6M In Federal Money Awarded To NJ Waterfront Development, Ferry Terminal Nearly $6 million in federal infrastructure money will go toward the redevelopment of the waterfront including a new Ferry Terminal in Carteret, federal and local officials announced on Wednesday, June 26. U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg unveiled  $1.8 billion for 148 projects nationwide under the Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) grant program.
