Crash Blocks Toll Lanes On Parkway In East Orange
A crash early Thursday, July 25 blocked several toll lanes in East Orange on the Garden State Parkway. As of 7:50 a.m., emergency response vehicles were at the scene with property damage at Exit 145. The vehicle appears to have crashed while leaving the toll lanes. Delays were reported.

One Firefighter Injured In Two-Alarm Linden Fire: Police
One firefighter was injured in a two-alarm blaze at an apartment complex in Linden on the morning of Sunday, July 14, authorities said. At 10:30 a.m., first responders were on scene at Hollywood Terrace Apartments in Linden on a report of a fire, Linden police said in a release. Firefighters were met with flames coming from the windows of both floors of the apartment on the 600 block of Academy Terrace, police said. Adult, Two Children Killed In West Orange Fire: Authorities
Two young children and a 75-year-old woman. were killed in a house fire in West Orange on Saturday, July 13, authorities said. At 11 a.m., the West Orange Fire Department responded to a fire on Liberty Street, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens, West Orange Police Chief James Abbott and West Orange Fire Chief Anthony Vecchio said. Firefighters encountered a fire in the kitchen area and heavy smoke throughout the home, authorities said. Teen Struck By Boat Propeller Airlifted After Saved By Off-Duty Officer On Greenwood Lake
An off-duty police officer came to the aid of an 18-year-old man who was struck by a boat propeller on Greenwood Lake last month. Vernon Cpl. Steve Rovetto was on the lake in West Milford when he saw that the man had been struck around 6 p.m. June 20, and called 9-1-1, West Milford Police Capt. Parrello said. Rovetto went over to the victim, improvised a tourniquet out of rope, and then accompanied him by boat to the South Shore Marina. At the marina, they were met by West Milford Sgt. NJ Mom Killed By Falling Tree While Camping With Family In Furious Upstate NY Storm
A New Jersey woman was killed in upstate New York over the weekend when a tree fell on her camper during fierce thunderstorms that ripped through the region, authorities said. At about 10:50 a.m. the Delaware County 911 Center received multiple reports of trees down on campers at multiple locations with an individual trapped at the Russell Brook Campground in the Town of Colchester. A four-vehicle crash involving a tractor trailer closed Route 78 in Union County Tuesday, June 18. An occupant was ejected when one SUV hit a house and another a utility pole in a fierce collision in Maywood, authorities said. One of the vehicles was knocked onto its side in the crash at the corner of East Passaic and Elm streets around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, June 16. Jet Skier Injured On Hudson
A jet skier required medical attention following a weekend accident on the Hudson River. The victim was brought to shore at Bloomers Beach near the northern boat basin near Henry Hudson Drive in Palisades Interstate Park in Englewood Cliffs around 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 16, responders said.
