A serious crash closed Route 71 in Monmouth County. A crash investigation was underway at about 7:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23 between Roosevelt Avenue in Deal and Roosevelt Avenue in Long Branch, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Dump Truck Flips, Central Jersey Road Closed: Police
South Brunswick police advised motorists to avoid New Road near Route 1 for two hours after a dump truck overturned. At 6:45 a.m., Monday, Oct. 23, police responded to the single-vehicle crash on New Road near Woodlot Park. The dump truck landed on its side and had taken down a number of utility wires. There are no injuries in the crash, police said. New Road had reopened by 9:45 a.m. between Route 1 and Wheeler Road. South Brunswick Police Traffic Safety Bureau is investigating the crash.

NJ Turnpike Blocked After Tractor-Trailer Flips
A tractor-trailer overturned blocking all lanes on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 11:50 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19 southbound near the entrance ramp from Route 18 to Interchange 9 in East Brunswick, according to the NJ Turnpike Authority. No injuries were reported, according to New Jersey State Police.

Dump Truck Flips On Garden State Parkway:

A dump truck overturned on the Garden State Parkway, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 12:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17 northbound at Exit 105 in Tinton Falls, according to the New Jersey State Police. Preliminary investigation revealed a Kenworth dump truck, Audi and Chevy pickup were traveling northbound. The Kenworth overturned and collided with the Audi and Chevy. No serious injuries were reported, State Police said. The crash remains under investigation.

A crash partially closed Interstate 78 in Somerset County, authorities said. New Jersey State troopers responded at 10:41 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5 to a crash on Interstate 78 west at milepost 27, in Bedminster, a State Police spokesman said. Based on a preliminary investigation two vehicles were traveling west when one vehicle lost directional control striking the other vehicle, he said. There were no injuries reported. The crash occurred at about 8:10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 29 southbound South of Plainfield Avenue in Edison Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
