Woodbridge Man, 29, Killed In Wrong-Way Head-On Crash With Truck
A 29-year-old man from Woodbridge was killed when his SUV collided head-on into a truck on an exit ramp in Central Jersey, authorities said. State Police identified the victim as Govinda Rishi of the Keasbey section of Woodbridge. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The collision occurred on Route 440 northbound, near the Woodbridge Avenue exit ramp in Edison Township, state police said. A Middlesex County man told took a woman to a secluded area and told her he was "going to do what he wanted" before sexually assaulting her last year, authorities said Monday. Tyrone R. Union County Driver, 51, Airlifted In Garden State Parkway Crash
A Union County driver was airlifted in a Garden State Parkway crash overnight, New Jersey State Police said. Wahid Perry, 51, was headed south when he struck the center concrete barrier and bridge support near milepost 131.9 in Woodbridge around 2 a.m. Monday, Trooper Alejandro Goez said. Perry was ejected and flown to Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick, Goez said. No other passengers or vehicles were involved. The crash remains under investigation.

Amazon Opens Woodbridge Delivery Center Creating 300 New Jobs
Amazon has opened a new delivery station in Avenel, creating more than 300 new local jobs, officials said. The 185,000 square-foot building on Paddock Street will be staffed by more than 300 full- and part-time associates, Amazon announced. A 23-year-old Elizabeth woman died and 23-year-old man was seriously injured after a Ford van and Mercedes sedan crashed on the southbound side of the NJ Turnpike Monday morning in Middlesex County. The Costco customer accused of making "terroristic threats" after losing his temper on a Jersey Shore cashier has been in trouble with the law at least a dozen times before in seven states, according to public court records. Edison Man, 48, Pulled Knife On Worker At Woodbridge Train Station
A 48-year-old man was arrested after pulling a knife on a contract worker who was power washing a building at a New Jersey Transit train station, authorities said. The worker was not hurt during the attack at 11:15 a.m. Sunday at the Metropark station in Woodbridge, Kate Thompson, a New Jersey Transit spokeswoman, said. Police arrested Barry Sharp of Edison, and recovered a knife. Sharp was charged with aggravated assault and was being held by New Jersey Transit police, Thomson said. A pedestrian was struck by several cars early Monday in Woodbridge, authorities said. First responders were called to the 900 block of Route 1 to investigate reports of a car-pedestrian crash. All lanes of Route 1 were closed in both directions by 2:03 a.m. as EMS crews treated an identified person. A teenager from Middlesex County has been arrested in connection with a serious two-car crash that sent two people to the hospital on Wednesday, authorities said.
