In a national alert, police are circulating photos of a woman who was struck and killed by a train 15 years ago on the Jersey Shore. The New Jersey Transit Police Department – Detective Bureau is reviving an investigation into the cold case from June 15, 2008, when the woman was struck in Brielle. The victim is possibly of Northeastern European descent, estimated to be between 18 and 30 years old, approximately 115 to 130 pounds, 5’2” to 5”5” tall, with fair skin and light brown or blonde hair and blue or green eyes. Authorities Try To ID Man Struck, Killed By Train In Rutherford
A man was rendered unidentifiable when he was struck and killed by a commuter train in Rutherford. Police found the dismembered body after responding to the call near the intersection of Park and East Erie avenues just west of the Rutherford train station shortly after 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17. He'd been struck by the Bergen County Line No. 1854 train, which left Waldwick at 7:35 a.m. and was due to arrive in Hoboken at 8:20 a.m., NJ TRANSIT's Jim Smith said. A woman struck by a train in 2008 still has not been identified, but authorities in New Jersey are hoping to change that. The woman was struck by a New Jersey Transit train at the Fisk Avenue Crossing in Brielle, on June 15, 2008, State Police said. The victim was described as a white female, approximately 18 to 30 years old, 5’4” tall, 123 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair. DOE: Dead Man With 9 Bullet Holes, No ID Dumped At Paterson Hospital
An unidentified man with nine gunshot wounds was pronounced dead after someone dropped him off before dawn Saturday at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, authorities said. Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora didn’t say whether the “individuals” who brought him to the hospital in a private vehicle around 5 a.m. stuck around or had been identified in any way.
