A former purchasing agent for a Mercer County public school district was charged after stealing more than $95,000 worth of property with bogus purchase orders, authorities said.
April Taylor, 58, was charged with two counts of official misconduct, pattern of official misconduct, theft by deception, theft by unlawful taking, and impersonation — all second-degree offenses — as well as second- and third-degree financial facilitation of criminal activity, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Jersey Shore Gun Club Treasurer Stole $4K From Organization: Prosecutor
The treasurer of a Jersey Shore gun club was arrested on accusations he stole about $4,000 from the organization, authorities announced.
Michael D. Weber, 64, of Spotswood, stole the funds from the Plumstead-based Lakeside Rod and Gun Club in his role as treasurer between July 2017 and January 2021, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.
Weber was responsible for collecting and depositing the club’s membership dues and paying the club’s expenses. While he did, in fact, collect the membership dues, Weber utilized the funds for his own personal benefit, police said.…

Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with the killing of an Ocean County resident in Asbury Park earlier this year, authorities said.
Shakri A. Prince, 29, and Jaszhark A.
