Some parts of South Jersey received more than half a foot of snow during a pre-Valentine's Day winter storm. The National Weather Service said snow stopped falling in the region at around 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 13. While it wasn't as much as North Jersey, plenty of communities saw significant accumulation. Some South Jersey school districts are canceling classes or delaying the start of school before a winter storm that's expected on Tuesday, Feb. 13. The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for Mercer, Middlesex, and Monmouth Counties. Despite no rain or snow expected for the week ahead, forecasters are warning residents about the threat of coastal flooding across New Jersey. Pair Found With Defaced Gun After Galloway Vehicle Break-In: Police
Two men from South Jersey were arrested after they broke into someone's car and had a defaced gun, authorities said. Galloway Township police said they received a call from a potential theft victim at around 2:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30. The man said he had checked his surveillance footage and saw someone broke into his vehicle at around 1:30 a.m. Officers began checking the area and noticed a Nissan Altima parked on Smithville Boulevard. The ballroom of a luxury resort that's become a popular wedding venue in New Jersey is about to undergo a massive renovation. Seaview Hotel and Golf Club announced the start of a $250,000 project to upgrade the Bayview Ballroom. Seen him? Police are searching for a 20-year-old South Jersey man who has been missing since Christmas. Jacob O. Abdelshahid, of Avenel, was last seen on East Mountain Road near CR 601 overnight on Monday, Dec. 25, Montgomery Township Police Lt. Tom Frascella said.
