Man Critical After Setting Himself On Fire In Atlantic City, Police Say A man who set himself on fire overnight in Atlantic City was in critical condition as of Saturday afternoon, authorities said. The 24-year-old Somers Point man was found with severe burns by police on the 2000 block of Atlantic Avenue around midnight, police said. An attendant from the gas station used a fire extinguisher to put the flames out. Authorities ID Man Shot, Killed In South Jersey Authorities have identified the 41-year-old man who was shot and killed in South Jersey. The shooting occurred at 914 North Main St. in Pleasantville, at 9:19 a.m. Saturday. Police received a shot spotter alert and 9-1-1 call in reference to a shooting.  Ivan Smith of Somers Point was found by police laying on a sidewalk with a gunshot wound, according to Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill. NJ Target Store Weeks Away From Opening Another former Kmart store is being replaced by a new Target store -- this time in Atlantic County.  The newest Target to land in Somers Point is set to open this month in, NJ.com says citing news reports. Kmart vacated its anchor store at Somers Point Plaza, a popular shopping center off of Route 9.  Target Corp also has plans to replace a shuttered Kmart store in Wall, Monmouth County, and Kearney in Hudson County. A shuttered Kmart store in Mercer County is being replaced by a popular discount Grocery Outlet store as reported here by Daily Voice.

Target To Replace These Shuttered NJ Kmarts Another Kmart store has closed its doors leaving just two left in all of New Jersey. The Kearny store on Passaic Avenue closed on May 2, NJ Advance Media reports. The storefront will be replaced by a Target store, according to Target's list of upcoming locations.  Target will also be replacing the Kmart that closed in Wall on Route 35, and the one in Somers Point on 250 New Road. Only two Kmart stores remain in New Jersey: One in Avenel and the other in Westwood.
