A 32-year-old woman from Monmouth County bought a $840,000 home using bogus documents, authorities said. Sydne Phillips, of Allentown, was charged with two counts of theft by deception, impersonation and two counts of forgery, according to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw. She provided fraudulent documents to obtain a mortgage and attempted to use a fraudulent $76,000 check to cover the closing costs of the real estate transaction, Bradshaw said. A woman was found dead in an apparent homicide at a South Jersey motel, authorities said. The unidentified victim's body was found inside a room at the Bel-Air Motor Lodge in Maple Shade, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina said. The investigation began just before 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, when police were called to the motel in the 2800 block of Route 73 for a report of an unresponsive female, Coffina said. A 28-year-old woman was found fatally shot last in the parking lot of a self-service car wash, authorities said. Alicia Stilley of Cinnaminson was found laying on the ground of Hot Wet & Wax in Palmyra by police at approximately 10:45 p.m. Monday April 18, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Palmyra Police Chief Meghan Campbell. A prisoner who escaped from the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility on Sunday has been captured, authorities said. ORIGINAL STORY BELOW The inmate was reported missing from a minimum security unit at the facility sometime Sunday morning, a spokesperson from the prosecutor's office said.
