A former Jackson Township man was facing charges in a Howell Township crash that killed a father more than two years ago, authorities said. Drew Peterson of Jensen Beach, Florida, was indicted for second-degree vehicular manslaughter, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said in a news release on Wednesday, Nov. 20. A New Jersey town's police chief was accused of improperly using law enforcement databases and helping someone shoplift, authorities said. Chief Peter Cooke Jr., 58, the chief in Englishtown, was charged with third-degree computer theft and third-degree conspiracy to commit shoplifting, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said in a news release on Tuesday, Nov. 12. A Trenton man was found guilty of shooting and paralyzing another man more than two years ago, authorities said. A jury convicted 40-year-old Henry Hutchinson on all counts on Wednesday, Sept. 25, Acting Mercer County Prosecutor Theresa Hilton said in a news release. A 48-year-old probation officer admitted to sexually assaulting a woman he supervised while she was in drug court and threatening to send her to jail. Henry C.
