Georgian Court University's first male president will retire at the end of the academic year, officials said. Dr. Joseph Marbach announced he'll step down as head of the private Catholic college in Lakewood on Monday, June 30, 2025. He's also the first non-clergy member to be president of Georgian Court. A Rutgers University student from Hasbrouck Heights is on a mission to get young adults registered to vote in time for the 2024 Presidential election. Alejandra Afanador, 19, spent the summer as an "RU Voting Ambassador," according to Rutgers Today.
