Ewing Man Shot, Killed In Trenton: Prosecutor
A 34-year-old Ewing man was shot and killed in Trenton on Sunday, Sept. 11, authorities confirmed. Officers responding to a Shot Spotter activation on the 300 block of Garfield Avenue found Chron Jenks with a gunshot wound to the chest around 5 a.m., Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said in a release with local officials. Jenks was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead shortly after, Onofri said. A 54-year-old man was struck and killed crossing the street in front of a motel, authorities said. The crash occurred around 8:35 p.m. Saturday on Route 52 in Somers Point. The man was near the Economy Inn & Suites when he was hit by a westbound vehicle, Somers Point police said. The Somers Point resident was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Trauma Unit where he succumbed to his injuries. His name had not been released. A Nigerian man drowned in the Hudson River after falling off a docking boat, authorities said. The boat had made it into the Englewood Marina at the foot of the Palisades in Englewood Cliffs just north of the George Washington Bridge when he fell off shortly after 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Lt. Missing Boy Found Dead In NJ Lake
The body of a 4-year-old boy reported missing was found submerged in the bottom of a New Jersey lake Thursday, July 14, authorities said. Police were called to Overlook Avenue near John A. Roebling Memorial Park in Hamilton Township on reports of a missing child around 5 p.m., approximately 40 minutes after he'd last been seen, local police said. After about an hour of searching, his body was found submerged in Spring Lake, police said.The boy was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

A bicyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle in Central Jersey, authorities said. Luis H. Loaiza-Cañas, 64, of South River, was struck shortly before 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24 on Old Bridge Turnpike at Milltown Road in East Brunswick, police said. Authorities have released a composite sketch of the bicyclist who hopped off to tackle a female runner to the ground and sexually assault her in Somerset County.
