Trio Arrested With Guns After Shots Fired From Atlantic City Hotel Balcony: Police
Two men and a woman were accused of firing gunshots from the balcony of a hotel near the beachfront in Atlantic City, authorities said. In a news release on Tuesday, May 7, Atlantic City police said 42-year-old Corey Brown of Chesapeake, VA, 43-year-old Malik Dean of Philadelphia, and 41-year-old Zara Griffiths of Paoli, PA, were arrested on Saturday, May 5. Man, Woman Plead Guilty In Shooting Near Atlantic City Apartment Complex: Prosecutors
A man and a woman admitted to their roles in a shooting near an Atlantic City apartment complex more than a year and a half ago, authorities said. Tawanne Williams, 42, of Philadelphia, and Jessica Bryant, 33, of Atlantic City, pleaded guilty to charges on Monday, May 6. The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office announced their pleas in a news release on Tuesday, May 7. A doctor from Philadelphia who has been working as a librarian at Princeton University but known globally for his scholarly work has died following a pedestrian crash in Scotland. William Noel, 58, was struck by a Citroen Relay van in the evening hours of Wednesday, April 10 in Edinburgh, police in Scotland said. He was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where he died of his injuries on Monday, April 29, police said. Fred Neulander, the Cherry Hill rabbi who was convicted in a murder-for-hire plot to kill his wife, has died in New Jersey State Prison, the DOC website says. Melissa E. O'Malley, a Delaware County native and University of Tampa student, died "following a tragic fall" on Sunday, April 14, loved ones wrote in her obituary. She was 21.
