A juvenile was arrested and charged with attempted murder in Labor Day stabbings on a Jersey Shore beach that left two Rockland County men hospitalized in serious condition, authorities said Tuesday. Prosecutor: Little Egg Harbor Man, 26, Charged With 'Assault By Auto' After High-Speed Crash
A 26-year-old driver from Little Egg Harbor has been charged in connection with a head-on, three-car crash in late July, authorities said. Hunter Dyer was charged with two counts of "assault by auto" after turning himself on Thursday at the Stafford Township Police Headquarters, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. The victim, identified as a Lakewood School District employee, died of smoke inhalation and fire-related injuries, it was reported on Monday. Jackson Motorist Indicted In DWI Death Of Toms River Man
A 55-year-old man from Jackson was indicted for vehicular homicide Wednesday in connection with a fatal car accident last fall. Douglas Thompson's charges stem from an Oct. 15, 2019, drunk driving crash that killed Thomas Marciano, 65, of Toms River, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer. Marciano was stopped behind another vehicle making a left-hand turn near Route 9 and Stevens Road when his car was struck from behind by a vehicle operated by Thompson, police said.
