Brick Police: Suspects Arrested With Crack, Heroin, Crystal Meth, Pills
Five people have been arrested in Brick Township on various drug-related charges, authorities said.
A "hand-to-hand" deal was observed by detectives late last month in the Briar Mills Apartment Complex. Investigators recovered heroin, crack and paraphernalia, they said.
Brian Vientos, 34, Jackson, was arrested in possession of heroin and crack, Brick police said. He was released on a summons with several drug and traffic charges.

Central Jersey Parolee, 35, Found Guilty Of Strangling His Fiancee, Prosecutor Says
A 35-year-old parolee from Central Jersey has been found guilty of strangling his fiancee during a domestic violence dispute in 2019, authorities said.
The Tuesday verdict also happened to be the first criminal jury trial in Monmouth County since the coronavirus pandemic began, according to Acting County Prosecutor Lori Linskey.
Jaself Brown, 35, of Keansburg, was found guilty of aggravated assault by strangulation of a victim of domestic violence, according to Linskey.

A motorcyclist from Ocean County was airlifted to Jersey Shore Medical Center after a serious collision on Route 70 in Toms River, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the state route's intersection with Whitesville Road, according to Jillian Messina, a spokeswoman for the Toms River Police Department .

Three men from the Jersey Shore have been indicted by an Ocean County grand jury on murder charges, authorities said.
They are accused of shooting a vehicle occupied by three people near Toms River Apartments on Main Street last fall, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.

An off-duty Lakewood police officer and a second passerby rescued a Brick motorist trapped in a burning car, authorities said.

Newark Teen Pleads Guilty To Jersey Shore Stabbings, Prosecutor Says
A teenager from Newark has admitted to stabbing two Rockland County men on the Jersey Shore during a fight last year, authorities said.
Juwan Roman, 18, pleaded guilty on Thursday to two counts of aggravated assault and weapons offenses, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.
Roman's name was made public this week after he waived his right to juvenile status in Family Court.
Roman was 17 during the 2020 assault, but he voluntarily agreed to be prosecuted as an adult, the prosecutor said.
