A 34-year-old man who had been wanted for his role in the dismemberment of a Toms River man and for hindering the apprehension of a murder suspect has been captured after days on the run, authorities said.
Jared Krysiak, of Brick Township, assisted Maxwell Johnston, 35, of Manchester Township, in dismembering 56-year-old Kerry Rollason on July 3, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.
Krysiak was captured in Marlboro on Tuesday, July 16, and transported to the Ocean County Jail on charges of hindering apprehension and desecration of human remains, Billhimer said. …

A fugitive from Maryland charged with sextorting a New Jersey senior out of $20,000 online after getting him to take compromising selfies was immediately freed by a judge after surrendering to police.
Posing as a woman, Ali H. Maman, 59, of Frederick, MD, communicated with an elderly Glen Rock resident through Instagram and WhatsApp, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said.
The victim was convinced to share the risqué photos, then was contacted by someone else who demanded a $20,000 bank wire transfer in exchange for not posting them online, Ackermann said.

A judge ordered on Thursday, Feb. 22 that Eric Manzanares, 24, of Asbury Park, will remain detained in the Ocean County Jail pending his trial, county prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced. He was charged with murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
