Man Arrested In Deadly New Year's Day Stabbing In Atlantic City
An Atlantic City man is charged in connection with one of the city's two deadly stabbings on New Year's Day, authorities said. Gavin Guzman, 23, was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 13, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office announced on Tuesday, Jan. 16. He's charged with first-degree murder in the death of Nazir Cintron, 22, of Atlantic City. Atlantic City police responded to the boardwalk and Michigan Avenue just after 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 1. Two men were sentenced to prison time for their roles in what prosecutors called an "execution-style" double murder of a young man and woman in Neptune Township nearly two years ago. Gabriel Braithwaite, 21, of Keansburg was sentenced to 40 years in state prison on Friday, Jan. 5, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago announced.
