Rutgers Student, Edison Resident Noah Koenig Dies, 20
Noah Benjamin Koenig, of Edison, died suddenly on Friday, June 7, according to an obituary published by Dangler Funeral Home. He was 20 years old.
Noah graduated from John P. Stevens High School in Edison in 2022, and joined the Cub Scouts in the first grade, his obituary said. He continued his journey with Boy Scouts where he earned the highest rank of Eagle Scout.
As a sophomore at Rutgers University, Noah majored in criminal justice so he could follow in the footsteps of his uncle, Robert Laureano, his obituary said. He was a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity at Rutgers. …

Stephen Gallagher, Former Police Chief In Morris County, Dies At 66
Stephen Gallagher, who served as police chief in Hanover Township, died recently at the age of 66, according to his obituary.
Born in Montclair, Gallagher spent most of his life in Morris Plains and had recently moved to Waretown, his obituary reads. After earning his degree from the College of St. Elizabeth, Gallagher became Chief of Police for the Township of Hanover, retiring in 2016 after 34 years serving the township, according to his obituary.

One was a comedian. Another an actor. And the third an engineer with a passion for singing.
All three were New Jersey residents who died in a Pennsylvania crash over the weekend.
Nicholas Nissen, 24, of South Amboy, and Joseph Riggio, 30, of Parlin, were pronounced dead at the scene, Carbon County Coroner Robert W. Miller Jr. told Lehigh Valley Live.
Michael Guezara, 31, of Bayonne, died at Geisinger Medical Center in Luzerne County, the coroner said.
Nissen was the only one wearing a seatbelt, authorities said.

Paterson police seized 2,269 heroin folds, more than 130 illegal pills and more in a quick-strike sweep of a drug-ridden street corner while arresting a trio of local dealers and several of their customers from Bergen, Passaic, Morris and Hudson counties, authorities said.
