Rutgers University Student Committed Suicide: Prosecutor
Authorities are investigating after the body of a male student was found on the Rutgers University Campus in Piscataway. The death was ruled a suicide, they said. There was no threat to the public and no foul play was suspected, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief Kenneth Cop of the Rutgers Police Department. The discovery was made around 6 a.m. Tuesday, June 27 on Busch Campus, police said. An elderly pair from Maryland was killed in a crash Tuesday evening, June 13 in Highland Park, authorities said. A Mercedes driven by Abeer Viriani, 34, of Iselin, struck a Subaru occupied by Peter Palmer, 75, of Easton, MD, and Carol Paul, 77, of Easton, MD, around 5:30 p.m. at Route 27 and North 10 Street, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. Police ID Body Found In Central Jersey Lake
The body of a 36-year-old man from Central Jersey was recovered from a lake, authorities said. The deceased man was identified as Trinidad Perez, of Jamesburg, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone. On Sunday, June 11, at about 10:30 a.m., his body was found in Thompson Park Lake. Perez had no obvious signs of trauma to his body, Ciccone said. Markel Williams was shot multiple times on Sunday, June 4 at 10:54 p.m., according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone. A Lexus that was traveling down Stelton Road struck the passenger side door of the Ford Focus turning left onto Mindy Lane around 1:40 a.m. Saturday, June 3 in Piscataway, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said.
