Pit Bull That Mauled 3-Month-Old Boy Euthanized: Prosecutor A pit bull that mauled a 3-month-old boy on Saturday, March 9 in Woodbridge has been euthanized by a veterinarian, authorities said.  The parents of the infant who was attacked and killed, meanwhile, were released from an area hospital later Saturday, the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office said on Monday, March 11. The attack took place at about 6:15 a.m. at a home on Mereline Avenue in the Avenel section of town.  The investigation remains ongoing. There have been no charges filed, a spokeswoman for the prosecutor said on Monday.
